Directors

Coodie and Chike are an award-winning directing duo. Their first collaboration was *Through the Wire*, which catapulted the career of one of the world’s largest entertainers, Kanye West. Known for their unique style and individual backgrounds ranging from television and comedy to motion graphics and network packaging, they have worked with some of the highest-profile artists of our time, including The Black Keys, Joey Badass, Christina Aguilera, Mos Def, and Erykah Badu.


Their ability to tell stories across multiple verticals shines through in their passion-driven, award-winning projects such as the three-act Netflix docu-series *Jeen-Yuhs*, which was nominated for an Emmy award in the category of Outstanding Documentary/Nonfiction Series and won Best Music Documentary and Best Docu-Series at the 2022 Grierson Awards. Additionally, the acclaimed ESPN 30 for 30 documentary *Benji*, *Muhammad Ali: The People's Champ*, which earned a 2016 NAACP Image Award for Best Television Documentary, and *A Kid From Coney Island*. Apart from these documentaries, Coodie & Chike created *Soul City*, a unique narrative anthology series featuring actors Chad Coleman, Omar J. Dorsey, and Dorian Missick. Coodie & Chike are creative visionaries, constantly evolving as they push boundaries with their heart-stirring and genre-shifting narratives.
